Brick Snap® inlay systems are innovative concrete construction solutions that can speed up and simplify projects, as well as reduce overall costs, while still producing top-quality creative architectural designs with the look and feel of traditional brick.

The revolutionary façade system plays an integral role in casting brick into precast or tilt-up concrete, which can produce a superior structure than traditional methods can produce in multiple ways.

Alternatives, like solid brick masonry, have higher costs and can take considerably longer to install.

Using our Brick Snaps® inlay system, Scott System has the ability to customize patterns and textures with concrete as needed, achieving a high-quality, creative solution that lasts for decades.

How Does the Brick Snaps® Inlay System Work?

In the planning phases, the Scott System architectural design team will provide drawings indicating the dimensions and direction(s) of the pattern.

General contractors can choose from a variety of brick sizes and trim pieces.

Most commonly used sizes are standard (2 1/4 inches x 7 5/8 inches) and utility (3 5/8 inches x 11 5/8 inches).

But non-traditional sizes can be accommodated as well.

A variety of brick textures and colors are available including smooth-face surfaces and wire-cut. Iron spot and flashed finishes are also available.

Thin bricks are then positioned into individual frames known as Brick Snaps®. These frames are then pieced together to form a panel in the concrete

This process creates the brick design desired, just as was discussed during the planning phase.

After reinforcing the Brick Snaps®, concrete is then poured over the bricks. Then, once the panel is formed, the frames are removed.

The panels are then prepared for delivery.

A tooled mortar joint is used to complete the finished wall — a detail that is preferred because of its natural water-shedding abilities.
