About the Project
Scott System is thrilled to contribute to TGL, the cutting-edge golf league by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy at SoFi Center’s 1,500-seat arena!
Scott System was tasked with fabricating the undulating geofoam for the 3,800SF turntable green, coined the “Greenzone”. This high-tech green rotates 360° and uses 600 actuators to adjust slopes dynamically for each hole.
Scope of Work
In this innovative project, our team leveraged advanced 5-axis CNC machining to shape EPS foam blocks, meticulously aligning them with the bespoke topography demands of the distinctive “Greenzone” feature. A key aspect involved expertly manipulating and segmenting CAD models to produce manageable-sized components, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision throughout the process. We utilized CAM software to craft an ideal layout, generating and rigorously verifying toolpaths for flawless execution. Following the machining phase, we conducted thorough tolerance checks and performed dry fittings to guarantee a seamless, hassle-free installation on-site. This comprehensive approach not only met but exceeded the project’s technical requirements, delivering a high-quality, integrated solution tailored to the site’s unique environmental needs.
