Advantages of Brick Snaps® over conventional masonry

No Moisture Details Necessary
Consider the engineering details of what is behind the wall. Traditional masonry requires steel angles, weep joints, flashing details and mortar tuck-pointing. Since Brick Snaps® are permanently captured in the structural concrete, moisture cannot penetrate the wall; no dead air space; no efflorescence.

Fast and Easy Assembly
Brick Snaps® installation requires minimal training of workers and typically assembles at a rate of 1 to 3 square feet per minute, per man! When the wall goes up, the brick is already in place.

Reduce Construction Time and Costs
Using Brick Snaps® instead of field-set masonry means at least one less sub-contractor, fewer 'brick-layers' (snappers), and reduced weather delays. The system requires minimal training, and Brick Snaps® can be assembled in almost any weather.

Reduce Materials Handling and increase Job Safety
Six Brick Snaps® equal the size and weight of one standard modular brick. Less material, translates into savings on materials and freight costs. And, since Brick Snaps® require no scaffolding or messy mortar-mixing operations, job site clutter created by additional equipment is reduced which can further reduce costs and job safety/production hazards.

Build a Better Wall, Especially in Seismic Zones.
Brick Snaps® in concrete is versatile, energy efficient and structurally sound. In earthquake prone areas where a large scale brick project is planned, brick embedded in concrete is preferred. Often this system is the only approved construction method.

Tested and proven Money Saver.
In testing done by independent agencies, brick-to-concrete bond is exceptional (1500+ pounds per brick). Freeze/thaw durability is excellent as well. Additionally, contractors who have used Brick Snaps® in pre-cast or tilt-up realized up to $8.00 per square foot dollars saved over conventional masonry and up to 3 months reduction in construction time.

Brick Snap advantages

A core removed from a concrete brick panel shows the permanent bond of the brick. Independent testing agencies have demonstrated a brick-to-concrete adhesion of 200+ psi and an excellent freeze/thaw performance rating. Copies of testing data are available upon request.
